Welcome to the editor help file!
In order for the editor to work correctly you may need to change a
few of your security settings of your Interenet Explorer. This is because
The editor needs to access files from your local drive to upload them to your
website.
Close any open Internet Explorer browser windows.
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type Regedit, and then click OK.
In Registry Editor, locate the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility
Right-click ActiveX Compatibility, point to New, and then click Key.
Type the following name for the key:
{00000566-0000-0010-8000-00AA006D2EA4}
Right-click the new key, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
Name the value Compatibility Flags.
In the right pane, right-click Compatibility Flags, and then click Modify.
In the Edit DWORD Value dialog box, make sure that the Hexadecimal option is selected, change the current value 400 to 0 in the Value data box, and then click OK.
Close Registry Editor.
Also Add Your website to your trusted sites to make sure that everything will work properly.
Goto Internet Options. Select the security Tab at the top and then click Trusted Sites. Click the Sites Button and then add button and type in http://development.NewTechLabs.com
This will allow you to "upload" your pictures.
In order to change your settings follow the instructions below!
- Click on Tools. Select Internet Options. Then select the security settings
Select the "Custom Level" button!
- The Custom Security settings will pop up! Change the following settings
Under Active X controls and Plugins
Prompt or Enable Download signed Active x controls
Prompt Download Unsigned Active x Controls
Prompt Initalize and Script Active X controls Not marked as safe
- Scroll Down in the dialog box
Enable or Prompt Run Active X controls and plug ins
Enable or Prompt Script Active X controls marked safe for scripting
Under the Miscellaneous section Enable "ACCESS DATA SOURCES ACROSS DOMAINS"
- Click Ok and then ok again to return to your Browser hit refresh and the insert picture function should now WORK!
