What is DNS and what will it let me do?
The Domain Name System (DNS) lets you host your own web server and mail server for your domain name. Using a DNS service, such as directNIC's directDNS service, and a web server on your own computer, you can set www.yourdomain.com to be hosted on your computer, instead of using a commercial or free hosting service.
